Yazd Team claimed victory in girls National Youth Athletics Championships held in Shahre Kord.

Shahre Kord, Iran – As Athletics Federation of Iran reports, girls National Youth Athletics Championships was held in commemoration of Olympic Day in Shahre Kord province with 200 athletes from Iran.

Over a span of two days, two national youth records were fallen. Zahra Bakhtiari of Hamedan, extended youth records in girls’ shot put in an attempt to 13.76m as Kiana Taghipour was the previous record holder in this event with 13.02m. Another national youth record was beaten in 5000m race walk.  Fatemeh Zahra Ghale Noie of Tehran broke this record in 32:44.58 which belonged to Samin Ahani Jan heretofore with 34:14.57.
