President of Athletics Federation of I.R. Iran, Majid Keyhani, believes that Iran’s sprinter left no stone unturned in Asian Games 2018 men’s 100m final.

Jakarta, Indonesia – Iran sprinter, Hassan Taftian, finished six in men’s 100m final setting 10.19 last night. President of Athletics Federation of I.R. Iran, Majid Keyhani who has attended Jakarta as the team leader said Taftian did his best in the final. “We saw jaw-dropping performance of Asia fastest sprinters in Asian Games 100m final last night. The competition was held in a high level quality and all the sprinters reached the final in the hope of getting gratifying results and even earning medals. The champion of this competition ended the race in 9.92 and other sprinters finished second and third in 10.00 with a thousandth of a second difference which postulates the tough battle of the last night’s competition. Despite Taftian held fast, he ended the race in 10.19 and took the six place. We anticipated he earns medal but it’s the matter of the competition, and when we talk about the competition, we literally talk about win or loss. He is a deserved athlete who competed ably against sprinters of Japan, China and Korea.” Keyhani suggested.

“There is not much distance between Iran sprint and Asia high-speed sprint yet we are determined to diminish the distance between these two levels. I hope to get better results in the future.” He added.

Keyhani wished other athletes of Iran luck in the competitions ahead. “without the shadow of a doubt, all Iranians athletes came to Jakarta targeting success and win and we also have planned for their success and objectives. They are well-earned athletes and we also wish all of them luck and success in Asian Games 2018 Jakarta.” He stressed at the end.
