Iranian athletes are done with the first stage of Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018.

Buenos Aires, Argentina – As Athletics Federation of I.R. Iran reports, Youth Olympic Games kicked off on Thursday with participation of Iranian Athletes Mohammad Reza Rahmanifar (Discus Throw), Mahdi Rezaee (100m) abd Hamidreza Kia (Triple Jump). Iranian athletes knocked off the first stage of the Games achieving results as follows:

  • Mohammad Reza Rahmanifar finished seven place in the first stage setting 54.34m. He will compete in the second stage on Sunday night. The best results of the first and second stage will determine his status in the final ranking.
  • Mahdi Rezaee ended fourth in 100m heat three and qualified for group B final. Rezaee finished ninth in the first stage and couldn’t qualify for the group A final with a hundredth of a second difference than the eighth athlete. The second stage of 100m in group B will be held on 15th October.
  • Hamidreza Kia finished seven place in the first stage of Triple Jump setting 15.28m. The second stage of the event will be held on 16th October.
