Iran Youth National Athletics Team finished six in Asian Youth Athletics Championships in Hong Kong breaking one championships record, 5 national records and achieving most gratifying results in comparison with last editions.

Hong Kong, China – As Athletics Federation of Iran reports, at the end of 3rd Asian Youth Athletics Championships in Hong Kong, Iran National Youth Athletics Team took six place winning 2 gold medals, 1 silver and 2 bronzes while one championships and 5 national records were broken.  

Gold Medalists:

  • Mohammad Reza Rahmanifar - Discuss Throw – 60.24m breaking championships record.
  • Arsalan Ghashghaei – Shot Put – 19.36m

Silver Medalists:

  • Sadegh Samimi – Discus Throw - 59.85m

Bronze Medalists:

  • Seyedeh Fatemeh Sima Shadkam – 2000m Steeplechase – 7:32.53
  • Sahand Noory – Hammer Throw – 65.85m

 

At the final day of the competitions, Amir Hossein Mamaghani, another Iranian shot putter, finished four in attempt to 17.52m. Hadiseh Raouf also took four place in 1500m in a standout performance 4:36.14 and broke national record of this event which previously belonged to her with the time 4:45.56.

In female 400m Hurdles, Mohadeseh Ebrahimpour finished fittingly four in a superlative performance setting 1:01:94 and broke 2 national records in this event in youth and junior categories.

Thus, Broken National Records in this Championships are as follows:

  1. Hossein Bizar – High Jump – 2.12m
  2. Zahra Arab Rostami – Hammer Throw – 58.79m
  3. Mohadeseh Ebrahimpour – Youth and Junior Heat 1:03.19 and Youth and Junior Final Round 1:01.04
  4. Hadiseh Raouf – 1500m – 4:36.14

Finally, Iran National Youth Athletics Team took six place in this championships winning 5 medals (2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronzes), achieving 7 fourth places, breaking one championships and 5 national records in 3rd Asian Youth Athletics Championships in Hong Kong.
