Asia Sprint Champion hopes to succeed in Jakarta Asian Games.

As Athletics Federation of I.R. Iran reports, Hassan Taftian, Iran Fastest who is training in Paris under the guidance of French coach Guy Ontanon, succeeded to set 10.22 in Meeting de Montgeron-Essone championships in his debut in this season.

“Yesterday’s competition was really good, though I was a little bit tired due to the heavy training. Montgerone’s weather was cold and it made the competition more difficult. But I’m satisfied by the result. I'm happy that I finished first and won the championship.”  Asia Sprint Champion said to Athletics Federation of Iran.

“After Birmingham World Indoor Championships, my coach and I planned a training program for Jakarta Asian Games and we’ve been good so far I suppose. The training camp’s condition is fortunately good and for the time being we are focusing on exercising more, improving the strength and removing technical problems.” He said.

Iran Fastest declared his opinion about his competitions’ plans until Jakarta Asian Games. “I’ll participate in several international competitions before Jakarta Asian Games, so according to the plan, the next competition will be on 27th of May in Forbach, France. I’ll continue my training in France until Jakarta Asian Games, that’s why in the aftermath of a negotiation with Federation, I decided not to participate in Iran’s Local Competitions.” He added.

“I have good and complete information about my rivals in Jakarta Asian Games. Chinese sprinter who won world second title is my strongest rival in 100m and 200m I figure out. I’ll compete in 200m because I’m in a good shape yet it is difficult and nothing is guaranteed and predictable until I finish the line. I hope everything goes well in Jakarta and all athletes come back to Iran full handed. I’ll give my best shot and make all my effort to achieve gratifying result. I also appreciate the Federation for upholding me and providing me with good training camps and situations.” He said at the end on his rivals in Asian Games due to be held in Jakarta.
