Iran senior team finished Belarus International Meetings winning three titles.

Minsk, Belarus – As Athletics Federation of I.R. Iran reports, the last day of Belarus International Meetings was held in a teeming wet day which spoiled Iranian athletes’ performances. Although it was rainy, Iran Senior Team took three titles, three second-place and one third-place in different events breaking one national record.

In 400m, Reza Malekpour, Iranian talented athlete claimed victory clocking 50.64 extending national record owned to him with 50.92. Malekpour’s tweaking progress has raised hopes for an astonishing performance in Jakarta Asian Games.

Amir Moradi, Hossein Keyhani and Moslem Niadoost took on other runners in 1500m. Amir Moradi finished second in 3:45.31 while Hossein Keyhani took third place setting 3:45.33 and Niadoost also finished fourth clocking 3:46.68.

Ali Khadivar took second place dashing 21.32 in 200m and Sobhan Taherkhani finished eight setting 7.03m in Long Jump. It should be noted that the pelting rain prevented the jumpers’ good performance.

The last day Iranian athletes took three titles and one second-place. Hossein Keyhani claimed victory in 3000m Steeplechase setting 8:40.99 (SB). Amir Moradi and Ali Khadivar respectively finished 1:50.12 in 800m and 46.80 in 400m. In Discus Throw also Behnam Shiri finished second throwing in 59.40m.

Accordingly, Iran senior selected team finished Belarus International Meeting winning three titles, three second-place and one third-place.
